Radiance, Girl EP

18-year-old songwriter/producer Jo MacKenzie, dubbed a “mysterious prodigy of both electronic communication and music” by Live Nation's Ones To Watch, is continuing her musical journey with the release of her fourth EP radiance, girl. MacKenzie’s songwriting and production skills prove to be versatile with the EP’s nostalgic synth pop vibes found in “Radiator” and fresh folk-rock sounds in “Time To Go.” This EP touches on the themes of heartbreak, revenge, and reluctant acceptance, reflecting MacKenzie’s experiences as a teenager but also her ability to find relatability in every situation.

While MacKenzie is a songwriter on every track as well as either a producer or co-producer, her new collection is also sprinkled with talent from collaborators Harper James (of the indie-pop band Eighty Ninety), Scott Krippayne, and Bryan Reynolds. This fourth installment is a stylistic departure from her third EP Tourist, but it retains the same mixture of pop ear worms and raw emotion–MacKenzie’s specialties. Radiance, girl is out everywhere on Friday, July 15, 2022.
